Since classic McVitie’s biscuits contain 66 percent of wheat flour in various forms including bran, in the gluten-free variant wheat is completely replaced with oats. Although they have a completely different taste from wheat, gluten-free McVitie’s retained the fine sweet, caramelized flavors, but they became crunchier, much easier and they got that recognizable, almost milky taste of oats. The bottom dipped in milk chocolate adds just another big plus to these already excellent cookies.
