You will immediately recognize Niederegger's marzipan by four things. It is compact than the others, much less sweet than the others, it is grainy so you can feel the texture of fresh almonds and has an intense, concentrated nutty flavor that explodes on the aftertaste. The dark chocolate (50%) on this version of marzipan excellently complements Niederegger's recipe. The chocolate is thin, crispy, shiny, finely finished and does not distract from the marzipan but emphasizes its rich flavors.
